Need some advice! New to Android, switching from iPhone 4, best Android device?
I have finally made the decision to switch from an AT&T iPhone 4 to a Verizon Android phone.
I have been on an individual plan on AT&T for the past year and I can actually get better service (more features) at a cheaper price due to the fact that the rest of my family is on a family share plan on Verizon.
I also want to jump on the Verizon-band-wagon ASAP so I can reserve my Unlimited Data for future phones.
I am also very interested in 4G. My area has amazing 4G coverage (according to my friends and the official coverage maps).
I also want a phone that holds high community interest/development/support. Even though this is my first Android phone, I am well aware of the many community supported projects that exist for Android Phones (Cyanogenmod 7, for example). I want a phone that will hold itself in the future and won't be "lost and forgotten" very quickly. If I am going to spend $250+ on a new phone, I want to make sure it is the best phone I can get (what I want)... I also want a phone that has decent hardware and won't be extremely out-dated in a year from now...
The phone I am really looking at closely is the HTC Thunderbolt. However, the reports of rebooting/GPS Issues/Poor Battery Life/ are HUGE turn-offs for me...
Any suggestions/comments/ideas? Thanks!!!
