Ok. im pretty good at computer stuff but not that good. first of all i am running a G1/Dream with the following:
Model number: HTC Dream
Firmware version: 2.1-update1
Baseband version: 62.50S.20.17H_126.96.36.199I
Kernel version: 188.8.131.52-cyanogenmod shade at toxygene #1
Mod version: CyanogenMod-5.0.7-DS
Build number: EPE54B
my problem is that i lost my recovery which was RA 1. 6. 2.
now, if i try to reach the recovery by pressing power+home, the G1 logo just stays on. no recovery. the bootloader is from cyanogen mod...i think.

i have a copy of DREAIMG. NBH AND DREAIMG-RC29. zip on the root of the sdcard.
i have tried a bunch of stuff to try to fix this and this thread is one of my last resorts.
recoveryflasher doesnt seem to work and terminal hasnt given me any luck (unless im doing it wrong)
sad to say, i dont understand fastboot and/or adb shells with sdk so anything else or a very very detailed instruction post about using fastboot/adb if necessary would be helpful.
**OR** if you know of a way to factory reset to stock ROM 1. 0 or 1. 5 or something else without using recovery. would also be helpful because i can always root again. SO PLEASE. HELP. ME!!!
btw, if you can help me install RA 1.7.0 that would also be helpful because when i tried is when i lost the recovery (oops)
