I have a Chinese 7 inch Tablet (Kinpad I200), Cortex A8 processor, 800 Mhz speed, built-in 2G and 3G modul. The op. system is Android 2.3.3.
The only big problem I have with that tablet is related to its mobile data service. If I lost the 3G signal because of poor coverage, or switch on the WiFi connenction I never regain the 3G (nor Edge or GPRS) connention until restarting the whole system.
I know that some Gingerbread-powered devices used to have this (or similar) problem and the manufacturers issued firmware upgrades to resolve it. Although my tablet is Chinese, its manufacturer also has issued a couple of OTA updates so far and I installed all, but the data problem remained.
So my questions are:
1. Is there an app that could bypass the Gingerbread built-in mobile data handling and manage the connenction itself?
2. If there is not any 3rd party application, that would bring back the data connection, maybe there is a way to simply restart only the mobil data service, without resetting the whole device.
Thanks in advance!
